Custom Plastic Washers for the HVAC Industry

During everyday use, HVAC equipment often undergoes high levels of vibration due to a combination of moving parts and airflow through pipes and ducts. Over time, these vibrations can cause serious wear and tear to various components. To help reduce these vibrations, many types of HVAC systems use plastic washers.

New Process Fibre is an ISO 9001:2015 certified non-metallic stamping company capable of manufacturing flat and specialty washers for the HVAC industry using numerous materials, including:

  • ABS
  • Acetal
  • Epoxy glass
  • Fish paper
  • Flame-retardant polypropylene
  • High and low density polyethylene (HDPE and LDPE)
  • Mylar®
  • Nomex®
  • Nylon
  • Nylon 6
  • Nylon 6/6
  • Nylon MDS (or Nylatron GS)
  • Paper phenolic
  • PEEK®
  • Polycarbonate
  • Polypropylene
  • PVC
  • Teflon PTFE
  • Ultem®
  • Vulcanized fibre
  • Viton®

With more than 10,000 washer dies in stock, New Process Fibre can deliver the products you need in as little as one week – or less! We produce English and metric HVAC washers with outside diameters ranging from 0.093″ to 12.000″, thicknesses from 0.005″ to 0.187″, and quantities from one to millions per order. Our expert team has extensive experience building die-sets in-house, working with numerous materials, and stamping washers with high precision and a fast turnaround.

HVAC Industry

HVAC Industry

In recent years, the HVAC industry has seen certain trends as buyers demand more efficient systems. Buyers seek increasingly smart HVAC systems that facilitate more optimization, automation, and remote connectivity and control. In an effort to meet these demands, one growing trend has been the use of ductless HVAC systems for residential, commercial, and industrial applications.

In industrial settings, HVAC systems frequently experience significant vibrations, requiring the right components to reduce these vibrations and preserve components. Teflon PTFE washers are some of the best solutions to use for vibration reduction. These washers prevent wear and tear while maximizing the equipment’s overall longevity.

Fabrication Capabilities

From our 55,00 square foot facility, we provide “Everything Under One Roof,” including non-metallic stamping, tool and die making, slitting and shearing, and extrusion and slitting. With a dedication to customer service, we strive to provide quality, service, and value for every HVAC project.

Non-Metallic Stamping

New Process Fibre uses conventional and high-speed punch presses to produce non-metallic components. We can accommodate prototypes using steel rule dies, as well as both low- and high-volume production.

Our capabilities include:

  • Equipment: 50 punch presses, including 14 high-speed presses
  • Production processes: Compound, custom, and progressive stamping for precision needs
